I have a server rack containing 10 mid-sized (2U) servers in a 10x10 server room with nothing else in it. Let's assume the power supplies on these servers are drawing about 600 watts each, at peak.
What's my low cost option to keep things
3500 watts equals 12000 btus/hr (not btu)
12000 btu/hr equal 1 ton
Server equipment = 1.7 ton
Room probably around 0.5 ton or 6,000 btu/hr
total 2.3 ton Maybe go with split system 3 ton to be

GridJunction is a great little app to monitor your UPS (Uninteruptable Power Supply). It detects when the UPS is in battery mode and closes down the server gracefully after a period of time, or when the battery gets to a certain percentage (50% for me). It should be able to run the server and all...
