any good software/hardware that can transfer data from a PDA to another one or maybe to a server?

my father is a construction enginneer.so,he frequently visits construction sites.he needs something that can transfer data from a remote location (using a PDA) to a receiver(maybe another friend's PDA or company's data server).

I would try going to the PDA manufacturers website, check there for possible answers. Unless his PDA has wireless technology built in, it may be possible to do it with an external modem, ( available at comp usa, newegg.com, etc.), that plugs into a USB
