So, I have an iPod Touch, 8GB, I think its from 2008 or so, back when there was all that confusion about the iPods being second or third generation, I think it's second generation still, it doesn't have a camera but my friend has a camera on hers, why

Only iPod Touch 4 can make and receive the video call in all of iPod Touch Generations. So if you want to have free video call, you can just get the new one or wait for the next generation comes out in only half year.
