About charging my ipod. I have a travell charger and i don't know if i should use it?

my ipod is second gen, 32 gig ipod touch and it charges on the travell charger but i don't know if i should keep on using it for fear of causing a software issue. it charges just like it's in a computer and on the side of the charger it just says travel

I've never heard any reason not to. My friend charges his iphone that way sometimes.
