Belkin Troubleshoot for IPod Shuffle?

I'm having a problem with my Belkin product for my IPod Shuffle. I bought the Belkin Power USB Adapter and it charges my IPod and everything when I plug it into my computer, but it won't connect my IPod to Itunes, therefore I can't download any music.

Thats the same problem that i had i got a Belkin charger for my itouch and ipod shuffle. and it worked great and it charged it and everything. Then when i went to go to get the cord to download some songs on my ipod touch it would not connect. Then i
